describing all of the things that i’m interested in right now to one of my professors, B. Katz, he observed “you have about 75 ideas for a thesis.” this is quite accurate, but i’m hoping to hone in on one by the end of the semester because, well, i have to. above is an early brainstorm of all of the areas that i am interested in regarding my thesis. these include interaction, craft, communication, art, tools, technology. i’ve been calling my interests so far “the articulate surface”, thus the name of this blog. i think it has a nice ring to it. i did, however, borrow it from a book on intelligent surfaces, but don’t all great designers “borrow” from one another?
